With a lifelong passion for storytelling through film, Norman’s creative drive began long before he co-founded Norky. After studying film at City Varsity, Norman worked nights as a DJ and barman at Mavericks to fund his education. His dedication paid off, and soon he found himself working as a junior writer and translator for the popular South African telenovela, Arendsvlei. Norman’s unique journey, combined with his love for both music and film, gave birth to Norky – a one-stop-shop for wedding videography and DJ services. With limited capital, but immense determination, he embraced mobile videography – a rising trend in America that hasn’t yet fully taken off in South Africa. With just an iPhone and specialized lenses, Norman creates cinematic wedding highlight videos that rival traditional DSLR productions. To date, Norman has successfully filmed over 10 wedding highlight videos, each one a testament to his ability to capture the raw, emotional moments that make every wedding day unique.
